Project "kitchen re vamp" completed
In an effort to distract myself from Milenas Zappings (getting laser
hair removal done as I type) I thought I'd share a few photos of our
fully completed kitchen.
Well I say fully completed, I haven't made the curtains yet, but I
don't plan to have them done by the weekend.
Now it's all together it seems a bit "70's" to me, but I like it so
that's all that is important.
Kevin has been working like a trooper alongside me and even did the
final scrub down last night as I was prepping for class. I'm very
impressed with how hard he has been working.
Okie, bikini time now ... Can't type anymore!

Well who would of thunk it!
Yesterday I got a call from the Associate Dean at CLC to tell me that I had been awarded a one year scholarship. This is the highest award they give and only two people get it. I'm pretty surprised.
I had planned to return to CLC, and even got everything arranged, but realised we couldn't quite afford it (not if I wanted to visit the UK this year, which I really do). So I had planned not to return to education until the fall. This is great news.
I feel a little guilty that I might of deprived someone who REALLY needs it a chance, after all, we could afford it if we really had to, but we would of had to borrow or sell to do it (or not visit England, and I wanted that more).
Anyway, just thought I'd share. I'm pretty pleased with myself, although still in shock about it all.
My babies
My babies passed their Math exams and have now completed their GED.
I'm so proud of them.

Wild life just outside our back door
One of the cool things about living here is all the wild life I see.
A few weeks ago I saw a fox playing in the snow. Rolling around,
rubbing his face in it, chasing snow balls - was so adorable.
Yesterday I saw these giant rodent things - like rats but a foot n
half long with white faces - bit like ground hogs. Not sure what they
were but they didn't seem to bothered by me as they wandered by.
This morning I see the geese have got babies!!!!
So adorable!
